Principle of the Test
The test is based on the detection of antibodies to HIV in oral fluid. The test strip contains synthetic peptides representing regions of the HIV envelope and a control from goat anti-human IgG immobilized on a nitrocellulose membrane.
Warnings and Precautions
- For individuals aged 18 and over.
- Conduct the test in a well-lit area.
- If you are HIV positive or undergoing HIV treatment, this test is not suitable for you.
- Do not use the test if the packaging is damaged or if the expiry date has passed.
- Do not eat or drink for at least 15 minutes before the test.
- Do not use the test if it has been in contact with household cleaning products.
Results Interpretation
Positive result
Two lines, even if faint.
Negative result
One line next to “C” and no line next to “T”.
Invalid result
One line next to “C” and no line next to “T”.
